USPS continuously fails to deliver package on time.

I legitimately dread knowing that a package I'm looking forward to receiving is being carried by USPS . Not once have I ever gotten a package on time.

For example: My boyfriend ordered my birthday present February 3rd. My birthday being February 16th, that should be plenty of time for the present to get here on time. But if the website you order from ships USPS, that's not the case.

The package was marked "out for delivery" at nine in the morning on February 17th - perfect, only a day late! USPS drives by around four in the afternoon and we both get really excited. Then a car pulls up behind it as the USPS truck is stopped in the middle of the street (pulling over isn't possible, thanks to two blizzards in the Boston area and several nameless winter storms) and the truck drives around the corner. Considering that's not the usual route USPS takes, we both thought, okay, maybe they're just being nice and letting the person pass them without having to wait.

4:45 slowly creeps up and there's no sign of USPS again. Alright, they'll be here tomorrow morning, for sure, right?

It's 5:30pm on February 18th, the day after the initial failure of delivery. USPS came by and dropped off a package...but it's not mine. It's my mother's. AND instead of leaving it inside the porch they leave it on the front lawn where anyone could just walk by and grab it, if they so wanted to - I'm sure my mother wouldn't question the package being missing for several days, anyway, seeing as USPS is notorious for sucking.

So, needless to say, I don't think I'm getting my package any time soon and I'm not going to order online if they're shipping USPS. You could pay $10 for shipping and you'll get it later than the person who paid $2 for eight day shipping.
